The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Product Manager on a 12-month contract to cover for maternity leave for our Certn (UK) division. This role will report directly to the Director of Product. As a Product Manager at Certn, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing our product strategy. You will be responsible for shaping our product offerings, collaborating cross-functionally with various teams, and making data-driven decisions to ensure that our products deliver maximum value to both our users and the business.
For you to knock this role out of the park, you will need to leverage your exceptional communication skills, analytical mindset, and strategic thinking to succeed. You have a knack for identifying market trends, understanding user needs, and translating them into actionable product features. Your ability to balance creative innovation with business acumen will be key in driving the success of our products.

As our Product Manager, you can expect to
Product Planning:
Define and prioritize product requirements, user stories, and use cases based on customer needs and business objectives.
Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer insights to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
Discover and validate market problems for both existing and potential future customers to drive product strategy.
Identify market opportunities, emerging trends, and customer pain points to enhance product offerings and meet business goals.
Product Development:
Drive the entire product development process from concept to launch, including defining product specifications and collaborating with engineering teams on development, testing, and quality assurance.
Own the product roadmap for incremental improvements and iterative development based on business objectives and market needs.
Provide input into go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
Analyze customer feedback, user testing results, and product performance metrics to inform decisions and iterate on features and functionality.
Research and evaluate new technologies, industry trends, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product differentiation and competitive advantage.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure smooth product development and alignment on objectives, leading to successful product launches and growth through effective product collateral and marketing campaigns.
Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency across all product initiatives.
Participate in relevant scrum ceremonies, contributing to development planning and ensuring alignment with the product strategy and vision.
Contribute insights to engineering planning, ensuring product development aligns with strategic goals and market demands.
Create and distribute regular updates on product changes, progress, and the solution roadmap.
Product Performance and Profitability Analysis:
Define and track product performance metrics to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of profitability calculations.
Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to extract and analyze product usage data, informing product decisions and feature prioritization.
Conduct research on new technologies, industry trends, and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for product differentiation and maintain a competitive advantage.
What you will bring:
Proven experience in product management or related roles, demonstrating increasing responsibility.
Exposure to go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
Proven experience in contributing to the development and launch of software products.
Strong understanding of product development processes, methodologies, and best practices.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to achieve successful product outcomes.
Exposure to conducting market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to inform product decisions.
The following will be considered an asset:
Certifications or specialized training in product management or related fields.
Experience in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry and a basic understanding of SaaS business models.
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies, and exposure to product management tools such as Jira, Asana, or Trello.
Previous involvement in driving product strategy and roadmap planning.
Experience in collaborating with global or remote teams.
Familiarity with product management for enterprise-level or B2B SaaS products.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
