Overview
We are seeking an exceptional Program Manager with a technical background in software development and cloud services who can lead our projects in order to deliver on time. The Technical Program Manager will be acting as a liaison between various teams to coordinate project work, and ensure scope is well defined and resources available to initiate a new project and help bring new product to market.
The ideal candidate must have recent software development experience or managing software development projects, with exceptional project management and interpersonal skills that can help bring people together and drive projects to successful delivery.
In This Role, You Will
- Manage full lifecycle of cross-functional programs with considerable impact on the product & the company
- Implement project management tools, methods, and best practices to plan and manage projects in a way that aligns with the expectations of stakeholders and meets business needs.
- Work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Interfaces cross-functionally within engineering with software developers, testers, documentation experts, product management, product marketing and others to drive the project.
- Interfaces with cross-department stakeholders including Marketing, Customer Success, Enablement, and Sales Operations as well as external partners
- Plan, organize and lead our PubSub+ Cloud services operations and delivery between customers, Production Engineering, and Development Teams
- Work with Product Managers, Marketing Managers and Enablement teams to coordinate GTM/NPI activities
- Measure, monitor and update stakeholders on the progress of projects and features to ensure on time delivery
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks that affect project scope, schedule and quality
- Develop project plans and work with various managers and team leads to plan and secure resources
- Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives
- Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis
- Run meetings, create and maintain timelines, and keep large, diverse groups informed of progress and obstacles.
What You’ll Bring to the Role
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment
- Sufficient level of technical background to provide highly credible leadership to development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues
- Experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects.
- Solid skills at managing project scope creep and change management
- Comfortable in leading and facilitating large meetings
- Strong analytical abilities in order to analyze the effectiveness of software releases process and make or suggest improvements
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage interruptions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
How to Stand Out:
- PMP / Scrum Master certifications
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana and Calendly
- Experience with Linux environments and scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash)
- Familiar with AWS, Azure, and GCP marketplace management and listing new products
