The Opportunity
thinkRF has an opportunity for a Sales Manager to join our Sales Team selling thinkRF’s leading SXM spectrum monitoring platforms, real-time spectrum analyzers (RTSA) and associated software to telecom regulators and operators, defense agencies and enterprise customers who design OEM monitoring solutions. The role blends lead management, inbound inquires, remote sales execution and partner management, and regional strategy across North America and CALA.
The position is based in Ottawa, Canada and work must be conducted from our headquarters in Kanata, Ontario. In addition, occasional travel may be required to attend trade shows and spectrum management conferences.

Role & Responsibilities
A. Revenue & Pipeline Ownership

Own inside sales pipeline for NA + CALA and drive qualified pipeline creation (3–5× coverage)

Manage Inbound sale and technical inquiries and follow up from Outbound targeting (regulators, operators, defense)

Business Development: Generate new client relationships, bring in job orders, and execute all sales activities, including lead qualification and closing deals

Client Relationship Management: Build, manage, and maintain trusted relationships with clients to increase market share by promoting the company’s services

Support deal sizes ranging from $25K–$150K (equipment) and $150K–$1M+ (platform/software deals)
B. Technical Sales Leadership
Works with Product Management, After Sales Support and Engineering to manage:
- Technical discovery calls and remote demos
- RFI/RFQ responses
- Proof-of-concept (PoC) coordination
- RMA tickets and Node online Management
C. Regional Strategy (NA + CALA)
- North America (NA) – Works with Channel partners / resellers, Federal and defence agencies, Private 5G / CBRS ecosystems, OEM integrators
- CALA (Caribbean & Latin America) – Works with channel partners / resellers, Regulators
- Language – Spanish is considered an asset
D. Channel & Partner Enablement
- Assist in joint calls and proposals
- Arrange training on product positioning and demos
- Build repeatable partner-driven pipeline activity
E. Sales Process & Tools
- Maintain strong CRM (HubSpot) discipline for lead and opportunity management
- Provide bi-weekly report on opportunities, engagement and forecasted bookings
- Provide timely quotations and order acknowledgments
- Works with Customer Support to ensure customer success via smooth post-sale transition following product commissioning
Qualifications
- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma (Electrical Engineering or Computer Systems Engineering preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in B2B experience in IT, Telecom or Test and Measurement sales
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Experience selling into: Government / regulators and operators / enterprises
- RF / Wireless Domain Knowledge is considered an asset
- A strong interest in technology and eagerness to drive sales growth
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in CRM (HubSpot, ZOHO, Salesforce…)

Salary Range
$80K to $110K base salary dependent on qualifications with performance-based commission and accelerators for exceeding targets
