TrueContext is looking for a student to help with our growing IT Help Desk needs from January to April. The ideal candidate is tech savvy, has a positive attitude, a great sense of humor, and loves helping people solve problems. This is a front-line help desk role supporting the IT needs of 100+ employees. This person will gain experience in many areas, including:
- Prioritizing user technical support issues that are escalated from staff and ensure adequate vendor services are provided in a timely manner
- Day-to-day installation, configuration, and support of various business systems, networks, and infrastructure
- User account and asset management
- Assisting in hardware/software maintenance as required; diagnose and repair defective hardware/software by replacing parts; and install hardware/software upgrades and new systems
- Refine existing and develop new IT policies and procedures
Required Skills:
- A strong sense of urgency and ability to assess and prioritize issues
- Strong technical competency with Windows 10, MacOS, iOS, and Android operating systems.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Approachable with excellent communication skills
Additional Skills:
- Previous experience in a help desk or customer service role
- Understanding of O365 and Microsoft Office tools
- Experience using helpdesk ticketing systems
- Basic understanding of scripting
- Knowledge of basic networking
