The Role

As an Intermediate Front-End Developer, you’ll play a hands-on role in solving meaningful problems, driving outcomes, and contributing directly to Solink’s growth. You'll collaborate across teams and be trusted to take ownership - because we believe great ideas come from everywhere.

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with Product and back-end developers to translate design concepts into interactive web pages.

  • Implement user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness.

  • Create responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and devices, delivering consistent user experiences.

  • Identify and address front-end performance bottlenecks to improve page load times and overall usability.

  • Participate in testing efforts (cross-browser, cross-device), debugging, and bug fixing to ensure high-quality outcomes.

  • Work closely with designers, engineers, and other team members to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end trends, tools, and techniques, continuously contributing new ideas and improvements.

What You Bring

Must-Have:

  • Minimum 3 years of front-end development experience beyond co-op or internships

  • Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6+

  • Solid understanding of responsive design, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous request handling

  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to ask questions, learn fast, and collaborate effectively

  • A demonstrated passion for web development and building beautiful, intuitive user interfaces

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience with 10+ commercial builds supporting large user bases

  • Exposure to front-end build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite) and version control (Git)

  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementation best practices

  • Knowledge of frameworks like Angular or Vue.js

  • A creative eye for design and performance optimization skills

Security Requirements

  • Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

  • Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;

  • Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
